Duas for Fasting and Iftar

5 supplications

Breaking the fast, an invitation to break it, and being fasting among others.

Allāhumma innī asʾaluka bi-raḥmatika allatī wa siʿat kulla shayʾin an taghfira lī

O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy which envelopes all things, that You forgive me.

Afṭara ʿindakumu aṣ-ṣāʾimūna, wa akala ṭaʿāmakumu l-ʾabrāru, wa ṣallat ʿalaykumu l-malāʾikah

May the fasting break their fast in your home, and may the dutiful and pious eat your food, and may the angles send prayers upon you.

If you are invited to a meal, accept the invitation. If you are fasting, supplicate for the host; if you are not fasting, eat.
