7 supplications

The talbiyah, the Black Stone, Safa and Marwah, Arafat, Muzdalifah and the stoning.

Labbayka llāhumma labbayka, labbayka lā sharīka laka labbayka, inna l-ḥamda, wa an-niʿmata, laka wa-l-mulka, lā sharīka lak

Here I am O Allah, in response to Your call, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, grace and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.

The Prophet circled the Kaʿbah on a camel, every time he reached the black stone he would point to it with his staff and say: Allah is the greatest

The Prophet PBUH used to say between the Yemeni corner and the black stone:

Rabbanā ātinā fī ad-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fī l-ʾākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā ʿadhāba an-nār

Our Lord, give us what is good in this world and what is good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

When the Prophet approached Ṣafā, he recited:

Inna aṣ-ṣafā wa-l-marwata min shaʿāʾiri llāhi abdaʾu bimā badaʾa llāhu bih

Indeed, Ṣafā and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. I begin with what Allah began with.

He climbed Ṣafā until he could see the Kaʿbah, faced the qiblah, and proclaimed Allah’s oneness and greatness:

Lā ilāha illā llāhu, allāhu akbar

There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. Allah is the Greatest.

He then said:

Repeat 3x

Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahu l-mulku walahu l-ḥamdu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun, lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu, anjaza waʿdahu, wa naṣara ʿabdahu, wa hazama l-ʾaḥzāba waḥdah

There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He has power over all things. There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, supported His servant, and defeated the allied forces alone.

Then make a personal supplication between each recitation.

He made a personal supplication between repetitions and repeated the remembrance three times. At Marwah, he repeated the same sequence of remembrance and personal supplication.

The best of supplications is the supplication on the day of ʿArafah and the best which I and the Prophets before me have said is:

Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahu l-mulku walahu l-ḥamdu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all praise and sovereignty and He is over all things omnipotent.

The Prophet rode his camel, Al-Qaswa, until he reached the sacred area Al-Mash aril Haraam. Then he faced the Qiblah and invoked Allah, and repeatedly said the words: Allaahu Akbar Allah is the Most Great, Allaahu Ahad Allah is One and Laa ilaaha illallaah There is none worthy of worship but Allah. He remained stationary until the sky became yellow with the dawn, and then pressed on before sunrise.

The Prophet PBUH said Allaahu'Akbar Allah is the Most Great with each pebble he threw at the three pillars. Then he went forward, stood facing the Qiblah and raised his hands and called upon Allah. That was after stoning the first and second pillar As for the third, he stoned it and called out Allahu Akbar with every pebble he threw but when he was finished he left without standing at it for supplications.
