Transliteration

Variation: Morning

Aṣbaḥnā wa aṣbaḥa l-mulku li-llāhi wa-l-ḥamdu li-llāhi, lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahu l-mulku walahu l-ḥamdu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun, rabbi asʾaluka khayra mā fī hādhā l-yawmi wa khayra mā baʿdahu wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā fī hādhā l-yawmi washarri mā baʿdahu, rabbi aʿūdhu bika mina l-kasali wa sūʾi l-kibari, rabbi aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābin fī an-nāri wa ʿadhābin fī l-qabr

We have entered the morning, and all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. To Him belong all sovereignty and praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and what follows it. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evils of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.

Variation: Evening
